Mary Baker

An accomplished litigator and certified dispute resolution specialist, Mary Baker brings almost two decades of civil litigation experience to her role as Senior Counsel at Henry Hill.  She draws on a strong track record in energy, property, and business disputes at respected firms. A proud native Texan, Mary graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law after earning her Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. She holds licenses to practice in Texas and Oklahoma courts. 

Before joining Henry Hill, Mary refined her legal writing and analysis skills as a federal briefing attorney in the Western District of Texas for Hon. Robert Junell. In over fifteen years of private practice, Mary has successfully represented a diverse range of clients, from individuals to Fortune 500 companies, handling matters ranging from oilfield accidents and mineral title disputes to property litigation to breach-of-contract and employment litigation.  Mary is both creative and a tenacious advocate, unwavering when it’s time to enforce a client’s interests, whether at mediation or in the courtroom. 

In the community, Mary is deeply committed—actively supporting her church and multiple arts and education nonprofits, earning honors such as “Rising Star in Energy Law” and a listing for the past several years in Texas SuperLawyers®.  Mary was named a “2018 Woman of Distinction” from the Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest. When she’s not crafting winning strategies for the courtroom or boardroom, Mary enjoys life with her husband, Joe, and their two children, Alex and Amelia, in beautiful Frisco.
